So I've gotten a little behind on my posts and I'm skipping day in between my workouts...but I'm still going and that's all that matters.
Day 4 was on Monday and it was Chest and Shoulders. I brought it hard and felt so great when I was finished. Day 5 was today and it was Plyometrics and it sucked. This girl, although 5 feet 10 inches of athletic build, CAN NOT JUMP! For those of you who may not be familiar with the word plyometrics...
Plyometrics is "...emphasizing calisthenics and repeated movements such as jumping high off the ground"
Calisthenics is "vigorous physical exercises..."
I not only can't jump, but I can't jump fast or high. I was huffing and puffing and struggling to keep up. I will be limping tomorrow...but that's how I know I'm working "hard".
I've come to realize that if I continue at my current pace I will finish P90X (a 90 day program) in just over 180 days. HA! I doubt that's what Beach Body had in mind when they formulated this program. Perhaps after a week or so of doing it every other day I will be able to find the energy and motivation to hit it hard EVERY day.
Is it just me or has everyone else been exhausted lately? I assume it is the change of seasons and weather but GEEZ! I'm ready for bed by 8pm...and dear hubby is out of town until Friday...might just have to hit the hay just after the kids go to bed, at 8pm!
Can I also just say how crappy it is to look back through my blog and realize that I made it to Day 54 and then lost track...COME ON!!! I was over halfway done and now I'm back to Day 5...boo boo boo :(
